About
The Foundation was created in memory of Brian Moss who tragically passed away on Christmas Day 2014 due to Motor Nuerone Disease (MND). For the majority of his career Brian was a Social Worker and took pride in giving people a voice in situations where they might not have one. His simple belief was that "we are all equal".
With this in mind his Son Stuart and friend Ashley Bull setup the Foundation to help people in Derby with MND that are losing or have lost the ability to speak. The condition has many symptoms including loosing the ability to grasp or walk, however loss of speech can partially be addressed through an eyetracking system.
Specifically aimed at the Derby area it was the initial intention of our Foundation to provide a pool of eyetracking units than can be loaned free of charge to local MND patients with speech problems. We have now extended this remit to provide additional equipment to help MND patients to have a voice.

Derby 10k 2016

Girl Power! The Foundation's fundrasing family keeps on growning. In 2016 we are not limiting the activities to just biking and are especially focused on womens challenges.
Charli Nelson ran the Derby 10k for the Brian Moss Foundation raising over £250.

Eyetrackers Handover 2015 07/10/15
In 2015 the Foundation raised over £7500 allowing us to donate 5 eyetracking units to the Electronic Assistive Technology Department, at the Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS.
The team of Clinical Scientists and Occupational Therapists will use this equipment exclusively for Derby patients with MND to improve their access to communication and environmental control systems.

North Derbyshire 100mi 2015 12/09/15
The last #Ride4Brian. Many thanks to the team of Stuart Moss, Graham Watson and Matt Massingham who completed the 100mi through the Derbyshire peaks.
One of the hardest century rides in Britain. the team raised over £700.

Lands End to John O'Groats 30/08/2015
The biggest ride of 2015 covering the length of the British Isles, nearly 900mi, in just 8½ days.
Thanks to the intrepid team of Stuart Moss, Ade Hill and Steve Bainbridge. Along with the 4 drivers Warwick Mooney, Tom Crowden, Tony Roberts and Al Freeman. The team raised over £5500.

From Aberdovey to Skegness in just 3 days covering nearly 300mi. The team of Stuart Moss, Ade Hill, Bill Spencer and Carl Andrews raised over £1000.
